​2023: A YEAR OF IMPACT

Entering the new year, we reflect on 2023's remarkable milestones, achieved through the generosity of our donors and volunteers. Filled with highlights, last year, your unwavering support enabled us to magnify positive impacts for homeless animals in Sri Lanka.
  • We successfully rescued 337 dogs and cats, providing vaccinations, sterilization, and finding loving homes for almost all of them :)
  • As advocates of vegetarian diets, we also save livestock from slaughter, rescuing 105 cows and relocating them to secure havens under our initiative.
  • An exciting collaboration with SPCAI allowed us to extend our spay/neuter program, sterilizing over 195 animals. In total, we sterilized 629 cats and dogs through combined efforts.
  • Proudly, in a groundbreaking move for Sri Lanka, we completed the construction of the first hydrotherapy pool exclusively for our disabled dogs.

2024: LOOKING AHEAD

​Given this momentum, we've set ambitious goals for 2024. Our team is inspired and committed to amplifying our work for  homeless cats and dogs, livestock animals in new and exciting ways. Your generosity made the milestones of 2023 possible, and we’re incredibly grateful for your support.
  • Our primary objective is to finalize the development of the sanctuary vet clinic, supporting a vital need for a vet clinic in the community, ensuring affordable treatments for pets. We aim to offer free sterilizations to contribute to the well-being of animals.
  • In a groundbreaking move for Sri Lanka, we intend to complete the construction of a dedicated area for the treatment of farm animals, providing a secure haven for them during injuries.
  • We are gearing up to intensify our sterilization initiatives in selected areas and continue engaging in broader discussions with faith leaders to address religious beliefs hindering spay/neuter efforts.
  • Our ultimate goal is to expand compassion workshops in schools across Sri Lanka and conduct educational sessions at the sanctuary to enlighten future generations.
